Saves you time, because you don't need to check. Out of 95,000 spams and trackbacks below, Monty asked for confirmation on only 60 occasions.
Learns the IPs of regular spammers. Saves you bandwidth and thus money(!) as they are blocked instantly. See below.
Blocks comment, trackback, signup and splogs.
Incredibly accurate. Monty learns. Monty only misclassified 1 spam out of almost 76000 on my site. He will occasionally ask for help but this too is rare.
